Jawan commits suicide by killing four comrades

Chandigarh. In Punjab, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan opened fire indiscriminately killing four of his comrades and later shot himself. A jawan opened indiscriminate fire at the mess at the BSF headquarters in Punjab’s Amritsar district on Sunday morning. Four jawans have died and one is seriously injured in his firing. The name of the soldier who fired is Satyaappa SK, who was a constable in Battalion 144. A dispute of duty is said to be the reason for the firing. The post-mortem of the slain jawans was done at the Civil Hospital, Amritsar. It has been told that the soldiers of Battalion 144 were having breakfast in the mess of BSF Headquarters located in Khasa. During this, constable Satyaappa SK came fuming in anger and started firing indiscriminately. According to the information, Satyappa was angry about the duty.

Satyappa killed four of his comrades by firing bullets in the mess, while a young man, Rahul, was seriously injured. After shooting his comrades, Satyappa came out and continued to fire with his service carbine. Later he shot himself too. Four jawans died on the spot, while constable Satyaappa and another injured jawan were rushed to the hospital. Satyappa died on the way. Doctors declared him brought dead at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. While the other injured constable Rahul is still undergoing treatment, but the condition remains critical.
