Job Opening: If you are also looking for a job, then focus on the field of electric vehicle. Employment in the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector has grown by 108 percent during the last two years. This was stated in a study by CIEL HR Services on Saturday. In terms of employment, the engineering department is dominant in the EV sector. This is followed by operations and sales, quality assurance, business development, information technology, human resources and marketing.

In this study, released with the title ‘Latest Employment Trends in the EV Sector 2022’, CIEL HR Services Limited polled 15,200 employees across 52 companies. Bengaluru tops the list for electric vehicle talent with 62 per cent, the study said. This is followed by New Delhi with 12 per cent, Pune with nine per cent, Coimbatore with six per cent and Chennai with three per cent.

Electric vehicle companies have hired 2,236 employees in the last six months. While women have made their presence felt in almost all the sectors of this segment. Some companies like Kinetic Green, Mahindra Electric, Convergence Energy Services, Oben Electric, Ampere Vehicles have women in top management positions. Ola’s e-scooter factory in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu is run entirely by women. Aditya Narayan Mishra, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), CIEL HR Services, said, “India is investing rapidly in the adoption of electric vehicles. There will be dollar opportunities.”
