Japan in India: Rajasthan becomes the choice of Japanese giants, 11 companies to invest Rs 1,338 crore
Japan in India: Japanese companies have been making Rajasthan their base in India for a long time. Japanese Investment Zones are established in many places including Neemrana in Rajasthan. Now 11 other Japanese companies have signed MoU with the state government for investment in Rajasthan. The Rajasthan government on Thursday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 11 Japanese companies and this will bring investment of Rs 1,338 crore.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday asked Japanese companies to also invest in building petrochemical complex and skill development center in the state. Gehlot said that Japanese companies have majorly invested in Rajasthan and Japanese investment has been an inspiration for entrepreneurs in Rajasthan.
Gehlot was addressing an event organized at Daikin Japanese Institute of Manufacturing Excellence (DJIME) in Neemrana for the signing of the MoU. He said that Japanese companies should now write one more chapter by investing in the construction of Petrochemical Complex, Invest Rajasthan and Skill Development Center in Barmer.
Gehlot said that the Japanese zone remains a topic of discussion among the entrepreneurs. These MoUs signed by 11 Japanese companies will bring investment of Rs 1,338 crore and the relations between Japan and Rajasthan will go to the heights. He called upon Japanese companies to also invest in the petrochemical complex of the refinery being built at Pachpadra.
He said that Japanese companies should also open skill development centers to provide employment to the youth of rural areas. Whatever requisite cooperation in these will be given by the state government. According to a statement, Ambassador of Japan to India Suzuki Satoshi said that India and Japan share fundamental values such as rule of law and democracy. The number of Japanese companies in the state was 10 in the year 2008, which has increased to 170 in the year 2021.
