Jammu and Kashmir: Major infiltration attempt foiled, one Pakistani infiltrator killed, another arrested

Srinagar. An intruder coming from Pakistan was caught late at 2:30 in Jammu’s R.K. s. Shot down near International Border in Pura sector. He was warned by the soldiers but continued towards the border of India. The search operation is going on by cordoning off the area.

Separate attempts to infiltrate into the country from the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir were foiled by the Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday. A BSF spokesperson gave this information. He said that in one incident a Pakistani infiltrator was killed, while in another incident another infiltrator was arrested.

According to the spokesperson, alert troops foiled infiltration bids in Arnia sector of Jammu and Ramgarh sector of Samba district. He said that the BSF personnel opened fire on the Pakistani intruder coming towards the border fence in Arnia sector.

The spokesman said, the Pakistani infiltrators were asked to stop, but they did not agree. That’s why the jawans had to open fire, due to which he died. According to the spokesman, in another incident, troops arrested a Pakistani infiltrator who had crossed the international border near the fence in Ramgarh sector.

After opening the gate, he was brought near the fence on the Indian side, the spokesman said. No suspicious material has been recovered from him. He informed that a massive search operation is being conducted in both the sectors.
