Jaipur Pink Panthers back on track after defeating Puneri Paltan, Arjun completed 7th Super 10
Pro Kabaddi league Season 8, Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Puneri Paltan: Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated Puneri Paltan 31-26 in the 39th match of Pro Kabaddi League season 8 played at Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bengaluru on Friday. Arjun Deshwal became the player to get the most raid points, while Sandeep Dhull made 4 successful tackles. Aslam Inamdar got 6 raid points from Paltan. Arjun completed his 7th Super 10 raid this season, he is only the second player to do so. With this win, Panthers have moved up to seventh place in the points table, while Puneri Paltan is at 11th position.
Arjun gets Panthers off to a good start
The toss was won by Puneri Paltan’s captain Nitin Tomar and Arjun Deshwal already opened the account by taking points in the raid, Aslam Inamdar opened the account of Paltan from Puneri’s side. After this, Arjun gave a good start to the Panthers by dismissing two defenders. Arjun continued to raid and got 5 consecutive points to take Panthers to 8 points. Nitin Tomar got the 5th point for Paltan by taking points in his first raid. In the 9th minute, the Panthers’ defense made a brilliant tackle and took a 15-6 lead by all-out the platoon. After this, Paltan got the 7th mark by doing a brilliant dash to Arjun. Pankaj Mohite gave a brilliant raid to two points and took Puneri to 12 points. Aslam along with Deepak Niwas Hooda got the Panthers all out by dismissing another defender and made the score 16-17. The platoon made a comeback before the end of the first half, despite the Panthers leading 18-17.
Paltan got defeated after a thorn collision
At the beginning of the second half, there was a close competition between both the teams, both the teams were putting their full strength for one point each. Arjun Deshwal completed his Super 10 by taking one point. He became the second player to complete the Super 10 consecutively. The last 10 minutes of play were left and the Panthers were still ahead 23-22. Deepak Hooda put the Panthers ahead 25-23 with a brilliant hand touch to Nitin Tomar. Tackling Baldev, Panthers all-out the platoon and went ahead 30-24. With the last 1 minute of play remaining and Puneri trying to reduce the margin of their defeat by taking two points, when the time ran out, Jaipur got their first win after three losses.
