IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals owner came in support of Ashwin, reminded Morgan about this

Delhi Capitals owner support Ashwin: Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal has backed his team’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in an argument with Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan during an IPL match. Earlier today, Ashwin asked Eoin Morgan and Tim Southee not to use derogatory words and refrain from teaching them moral lessons.

Know what was the matter

During the match played between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday, Rahul Tripathi’s throw from the deep collided with another batsman Rishabh Pant, on which Ashwin tried to take an extra run. There was also a debate between Morgan and Ashwin on this. Morgan had accused Ashwin of not following the spirit of the game, while under the MCC rules it is not illegal to take a run after the ball has hit the batsman’s body. After this, fast bowler Tim Southee said on Ashwin’s dismissal, “This is what happens when you are dishonest.”

Parth Jindal supports Ashwin

Backing Ashwin, Jindal reminded Morgan of the 2019 World Cup final when the ball hit a boundary off Ben Stokes’s bat and England got four runs off the overthrow. Jindal wrote on Twitter on Thursday, “When the ball hit Ben Stokes and went for four runs, which helped England win the 50-over World Cup, there was no problem? But when Ash (Ashwin) took an extra run it was complete. The world has gone mad. Best example of hypocrisy – totally with you Ashwin.”
