INDvsNZ: Suryakumar Yadav’s entry in Test squad, will soon catch flight to Kanpur

IND vs NZ Kanpur Test: Mumbai Indians batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been included in the squad for the first Test against New Zealand. He will take a direct flight from Kolkata to Kanpur. The first Test in Kanpur will be played from November 25. Suryakumar Yadav performed brilliantly in the first match of the T20 series against New Zealand. In this T20 match held in Jaipur, he played an innings of 62 runs in 40 balls. Team India won this match by 5 wickets.

31-year-old Suryakumar made his T20 International debut in March this year. He scored a half-century in his very first match against England. So far Suryakumar has played 11 T20 matches. In this, he has scored 244 runs at an average of 34. During this his strike rate has also been 155. Suryakumar also made his debut in ODIs in the same year. He was included in the team on the Sri Lanka tour and scored runs at an average of 62 in his debut series. He was also adjudged ‘Man of the Match’ in the series against Sri Lanka.

After the IPL, Suryakumar was included in the team in the Test series against England due to the performance of Team India in the limited overs, but he did not get a chance to make his Test debut. But this time against New Zealand in the absence of big players, they can get a chance to wear the jersey of the Test team. Although the name of Suryakumar is yet to be announced officially.
