Industry, business can never flourish in a country where national security is not strong: Rajnath
New Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Tuesday that the country where national security is not strong, Industry and business can never flourish there. In his address at the Armed Forces Flag Day CSR Conclave, he also said,welfare of soldiers, who ensure our national security, should not be the sole responsibility of the government, Rather it should be the duty of all.”
Describing the welfare of soldiers and their families as the moral responsibility of every citizen, he appealed to contribute generously to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. In his address, Singh emphasized that a country which does not have strong national security, Industry and business can never flourish there.
He appreciated the support of large corporate donors which has led to substantial growth of the fund over the years. Singh called upon the community to contribute even more for the betterment of the soldiers and the nation.
The program was organized by the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence. Singh expressed his gratitude to the retired and serving personnel of the armed forces and said that their valor and sacrifice have protected the sovereignty and integrity of the country.
