17.98 percent voting in Himachal Pradesh till 11 am, Chief Minister casts his vote

Shimla. For the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, 17.98 percent polling was recorded till 11 am on Saturday. The Election Commission gave this information. Voting was slow in the beginning, but gradually it picked up pace. Around five per cent polling was recorded in the first hour.

In Mandi, the home district of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, the highest polling percentage of 21.92 per cent was recorded till 11 am. According to the Election Commission, 21.66 percent voting was recorded in Sirmaur district, 20.28 in Solan and 20 percent in Kinnaur. Lahaul-Spiti district recorded the lowest 5 per cent polling in the first three hours.
Chief Minister Thakur along with his wife and daughters cast their vote in Mandi after offering prayers at a local temple. Himachal Pradesh Congress chief Pratibha Singh and his son Vikramaditya Singh cast their vote in Rampur. Earlier, he offered prayers at Shani Mandir in Shimla.

Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, his son and Union Minister Anurag Thakur along with other family members cast their vote in Hamirpur. Former Union Minister Anand Sharma cast his vote in Shimla, while Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri and his family voted in Haroli, from where he is contesting. (Language)
