India won its fifth gold

Birmingham. India created history in the 22nd Commonwealth Games being played in Birmingham, England. For the first time in the history of Commonwealth Games, the Indian women’s team won the gold medal in the Lawn Bowls match, creating history. The Indian women’s team defeated South Africa 17-10 in the final to win the gold medal. Apart from this, India won the fifth gold by defeating Singapore in the table tennis match.

On the fifth day of the Commonwealth Games, Indian players are trying to win medals in some more matches. Till the time of writing the news, India has won 12 medals, of which five are gold medals. India currently has the highest number of medals in weightlifting. In badminton also Indian players will try to win gold. The match will go on till late night.

India won its fifth gold on the fifth day at the Commonwealth Games. India beat Singapore 3-1. G Sathiyan, Harmeet Desai won their respective singles matches as well as both the players also won the doubles match as a partner. On the other hand Vikas Thakur of India has won silver in the men’s 96 kg category of weightlifting. With this, India has 12 medals in the Commonwealth of 2022.
