India-England will clash in the semi-finals of the World Cup

Melbourne, India defeated Zimbabwe in the last Super-12 match of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. With this, India reached the semi-finals by securing the top spot in Group B. India will face England in the semi-finals. Pakistan has also reached the semi-finals from Group B. The loss of South Africa in the big upset match in the World Cup created an opportunity for Pakistan.

However, in their last Super-12 match played in Melbourne, India defeated Zimbabwe by a huge margin of 71 runs. Chasing 187 runs given by Team India, Zimbabwe’s team was all out in 17.2 overs. Apart from the partnership of Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burle, none of the players could stay at the crease for long. Sikandar scored 34 runs, while Burle scored 35 runs.

Indian bowlers dominated the second innings, with Ashwin taking three, Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya taking two wickets each. India had already qualified for the semi-finals. With this win, they secured the top spot in Group B. In the semi-finals, they will face Group A’s second-ranked team England. The match between India and England will be held in Adelaide on November 10. The second match of the semi-final will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand.
