Asia Cup Hockey: India beat Indonesia 16-0, make it to the last four

To make it to the next round, the Indian team had to beat Indonesia by a margin of 15-0 or better. As Japan beat Pakistan 3-2, India reached the knockout stage.

Good news has come out for the hockey lovers of India from the Asia Cup Hockey. India defeated Indonesia by a huge margin of 16-0 and with this India has now made it to the last four. Whereas Pakistan’s defeat at the hands of Japan and India’s big victory over Indonesia made India’s path easier. India reached the knockout stage as soon as Japan beat Pakistan 3-2.

Talking about the match, in a very important match, India never gave Indonesia a chance to return in the match and won the match 16-0. In the Asia Cup, India had won this match in their three matches so far and lost 2-5 to Japan and played a 1-1 draw with Pakistan. India had to beat Indonesia by a margin of 15-0 or better to make it to the next round. Pakistan, on the other hand, had to win a match against Japan to make it to the Super Four, but Japan defeated Pakistan 3-2. With this defeat, Pakistan is also out of the World Cup to be held next year.

Let us inform that Dipsan Tirkey scored five goals while Sudev Belimaga scored three goals for the defending champions India. For India, experienced SV Sunil, Pawan Rajbhar and Karti Selvam scored two goals each while Uttam Singh and Neelam Sandeep Sess scored a goal each.
