According to experts, the peak of the third wave will be in the second week of February. This is the time when the West Indies team will also be in India. The Windies team has to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches here. All these matches are to be played at different venues, although BCCI can change them now.

According to the report of a sports website, in view of the third wave of Corona, BCCI is considering to hold these matches at least at the venue. In this report quoting a BCCI official, it has been said, ‘Difficulties are coming to the fore regarding the series. If the cases of corona keep increasing in February, instead of conducting 6 matches at different venues, it can be done at one or two venues only. As of now nothing has been decided, it is a constantly changing situation and we are monitoring the situation. A decision will be taken at the right time.

It has also been said in the report that the Chief of Cricket West Indies has also agreed to change the venue. He says that till now he has not received any proposal from BCCI to change the venue but if it happens due to Corona then he is ready for it.

There are matches to be held here
The first ODI is to be played on 6 February at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. After this the next matches are to be played in Jaipur, Kolkata, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram. All these matches will be played from 6 to 20 February.
