IND vs SA: The first match of the three-match Test series between India and South Africa has started from today (26 December) at Centurion. Shreyas Iyer and Hanuma Vihari are out of Team India’s playing XI. At the same time, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, who have been out of form for the last two years, have once again got a chance. Cricket fans are furious over the selection of out-of-form players in the team instead of the youth running in the rhythm. Fans are trolling Rahane fiercely on Pujara on social media.

Shreyas Iyer recently made his debut in the Test series against New Zealand. He scored a century in his very first Test. His entry in the playing XI against South Africa was considered fixed. Similarly, Hanuma Vihari recently toured South Africa with India’s A team. Here he gave a strong performance. Vihari had scored three centuries here.

33-year-old Ajinkya Rahane has scored 411 runs in 21 innings of 12 matches this year. During this his run average was only 19.57. This year he did not score a single century with the bat.

34-year-old Cheteshwar Pujara has scored 849 runs in 17 Test matches in the last two years. His run average has been just 28 runs per innings. Not a single century has come off his bat for 2 years.
