Shreyas Iyer And Pravin Amre Story: Shreyas Iyer has earned the right to invite his coach Praveen Amre for dinner at home after scoring a century in his debut Test against New Zealand on Friday after fulfilling a condition put to him by Amre.

Let us tell you that long before Iyer scored a century in the debut Test, Amre told him that he would come to his house for dinner only when he scored a Test century.

After scoring a century against New Zealand, Iyer said, “So after today’s match (not the match) but after today’s century, I will send him a message and invite him for dinner.”

Iyer has become the 16th Indian batsman to score a century in his Test debut. Amre also scored a century in his Test debut which he scored in 1992 in South Africa. He is coaching Iyer.

Iyer said in the ‘Virtual Press Conference’, “Whenever I go for training, Praveen sir keeps saying that you have achieved a lot in life. You have captained the IPL team, you have scored so many runs. You’ve done it, you’ve done it, you’ve done it, but your main achievement will be only when you get the Test cap and I am sure they must have been very happy when I got this cap.”

He said, “I got a lot of messages and everyone said that this is an achievement and it is the best thing you achieve in your life. It reminded me of the early days of cricket in Mumbai. It was a good feeling. Is.”
