IND vs NZ 1st Test: Wriddhiman Saha could not take the field due to strain on his neck on the third day of the Kanpur Test. He was replaced by the team’s second wicketkeeper KS Bharat as a substitute. But Bharat, while keeping excellent wicket-keeping, hunted three New Zealand batsmen. It includes two catches and one stumping.

On this wicket with uneven bounce, the ball is mostly staying down after hitting the ground. In such a situation, it is a difficult wicket for the wicketkeeper but Bharat did not make any mistake here. After this wonderful performance, Bharat has become a star on social media. Users are praising him fiercely. Former cricketer VVS Laxman is also involved in this.

Laxman has written, ‘I am very impressed with the way Bharat has kept wickets in front of the best spin bowlers on this wicket. His hands are very agile and the footwork is amazing. They certainly have a bright future.

VVS has also said in a conversation with a channel that Rahul Dravid had told him about KS Bharat’s wicketkeeping skills long back.

Some users on social media have demanded KS Bharat to replace Wriddhiman Saha in the next match.

KS Bharat should be the starter for India in the next Test match ahead of Widdhiman Saha. He’s doing a fantastic job today coming in as a substitute. We’ve seen the catches he picked, the ball is staying low and he’s adjusting to it very well.

Andhra Pradesh wicketkeeper Bharat played an important role in breaking New Zealand’s opening pair by catching a superb low catch of Will Young. He also did a tremendous stumping of Tom Latham.

KS Bharat had told in a conversation with R Ashwin and Axar Patel on BCCI TV after the end of the third day’s play that they had only 12 minutes to get ready for the match.
