Bhopal. In Madhya Pradesh, the attitude of the government has become strict to implement the use of helmets for two wheeler drivers. Employees coming to offices and two wheeler drivers coming to schools and colleges will be allowed entry only after wearing helmets. State’s Additional Director General of Police G Janardan has written a letter to all the superintendents of police of the state, besides the police commissioners of Bhopal and Indore, instructing them to make helmets mandatory.
In the order issued, it has been said that all the heads of offices and principals of schools and colleges should take strict action in getting it followed. Along with this, petrol pump operators have also been asked to give petrol only to two wheeler drivers who come wearing helmets. It has been told that recently, the High Court of Jabalpur, while hearing a petition, had directed the government to strictly follow the rules of wearing helmets. In this connection this order has been issued. To create awareness among the people, emphasis will also be laid on publicity. When people will be made aware of Dial 100 vehicles, it will be announced at different places. (IANS)
