Imran’s blame on foreign powers

Islamabad, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is facing a no-confidence motion brought by the opposition, is now blaming foreign powers. Describing the opposition’s no-confidence motion as a conspiracy by foreign powers, he claimed that there was a conspiracy to destabilize his government. He has also announced to show a secret letter related to this to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Imran had also mentioned this letter in the rally held in Islamabad on Sunday. Now he will show this letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Significantly, the no-confidence motion brought against Prime Minister Imran Khan will be debated on March 31. After that there will be voting, in which there is a strong possibility of the Imran government losing. Meanwhile, Pakistan government minister Asad Umar said on Tuesday that Imran is ready to share his ‘secret letter’ with Supreme Court Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandiyal. Imran had mentioned this letter during Sunday’s rally.

Imran claims that there are foreign forces behind helping the opposition in bringing a no-confidence motion, the evidence of which is present in this letter. The opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Front has announced Shahbaz Sharif as its prime ministerial candidate with the motion of no confidence on Monday. The coalition led by him consists of three parties and has the support of over 200 MPs, while the National Assembly has a majority of 172 seats. Meanwhile, Imran suffered another setback on Tuesday when two of his MPs – Chaudhry Asim Nazir and Mohammad Aslam Bhutani – quit.
