Rs 993.51 crore approved for expansion of Jaipur Metro

Jaipur. The Rajasthan government has approved a finance of Rs 993.51 crore for the construction of Phase 1-C of the Jaipur Metro. An official spokesperson said, “Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has taken a major decision to make the Metro facility more accessible to the residents of Jaipur. He has given financial approval of Rs 993.51 crore for the construction of Phase 1-C of Jaipur Metro.

According to the spokesperson, this phase will connect Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar and its total length will be 2.85 km, which includes 2.26 km underground and 0.59 km elevated. According to the spokesperson, after the construction of Phase 1-C of Jaipur Metro, Metro will be operational from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar on Delhi-Agra Highway.

He told that with this decision of Gehlot, the traffic system of the city will improve and metro facility will be available to the common man till Delhi-Agra highway. It is noteworthy that in the budget of the financial year 2022-23, the construction of Phase 1-C and Phase 1-D was announced by the Chief Minister while expanding the Jaipur Metro.

Financial approval of Rs 204.81 crore has been given for the construction of Phase 1-D of Jaipur Metro in October 2022. Presently metro service is available from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar in Jaipur.
