In such a situation, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has brought a legal provision to crack down on those who drink alcohol. The state cabinet meeting was held on Monday evening under the chairmanship of CM Nitish Kumar. In which the Liquor Prohibition Amendment Bill was discussed in Bihar. This bill has been passed by both the houses of the Bihar Legislature. In such a situation, this new law will become effective as soon as it is approved by the Governor.

5000 rupees fine in the first time, jail time in the second time
Liquor Ban in Bihar: Under this new law, people caught drinking alcohol for the first time can be released by paying a fine, but if their behavior is not good, they may have to be sent to jail. A fine ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 will be levied if caught for the first time while consuming alcohol. Also, if the behavior is not found right, he may also have to face the air of jail. Along with this, if a person is caught drinking alcohol for the second time, then the provision of compulsory imprisonment of one year has been kept for the accused.

Strict action will be taken if caught repeatedly after drinking alcohol
Bihar’s Nitish government has amended the liquor prohibition law. If caught drunk for the first time, he will be let off with a fine by the magistrate. However, failing to pay the fine can result in imprisonment for a month, but if caught repeatedly under the influence of alcohol, strict action can be taken.
