ICC Rankings: Joe Root snatched the Test reign from Harry Brook in a week, this player became the number one T20 bowler

The International Cricket Council has released the latest rankings of Test and T20 players on Wednesday. England’s legendary cricketer Joe Root has again become the number 1 Test batsman. He snatched the reigns from compatriot Harry Brook in a week. Root currently has 895 rating points in his account. He recently played innings of 54 and 32 runs in the England vs New Zealand third test. Whereas Brook’s bat remained completely silent. He scored just one run in the match. His account was not opened in the first innings. Brooke has slipped to second place with 876 points. They lost by 22 points.

New Zealand’s star batsman Kane Williamson is at third position. He scored a brilliant century in the third Test and New Zealand registered a huge victory by 434 runs. Williams is 28 rating points behind Root after scoring his 33rd Test century. He has 867 marks. India has two batsmen in the top-10. Yashasvi Jaiswal is at fourth and Rishabh Pant is at ninth. Travis Head, who scored a century in the Gabba Test against India, is at number five. India’s ace batsman Virat Kohli is at 20th position and captain Rohit Sharma is at 30th position.

Akil Hussain becomes number 1 bowler of T20

Whereas West Indies spinner Akil Hussain has become the new number one bowler in T20 International cricket. He has got 707 marks. He has reached the top by defeating Adil Rashid of England. Rashid has 701 points in his account and is now at second position. Akil took 2 wickets for 13 runs in the first T20 match against Bangladesh. However, West Indies had to face defeat at the hands of Bangladesh by 7 runs. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga has slipped to third place and Australia’s Adam Zampa has slipped to fourth place. Arshdeep Singh is the only Indian in the top-10 ranking of T20 bowlers. He is at eighth position with 657 points.
