Panaji. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that if necessary, the investigation into Sonali Phogat’s murder can be handed over to the CBI. He also said that Goa Police is investigating very well. He spoke to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday night and said that he may hand over the investigation of Haryana BJP leader and TikTok star Sonali Phogat’s murder case to the CBI.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal spoke to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday night. After that on Sunday, Sawant has said that his government has no problem in handing over the investigation to the CBI. It is being speculated that soon the investigation of the case can be given from the police to the CBI. However, Pramod Sawant has also patted his police in the investigation of the whole matter and told that the police is investigating thoroughly.
Earlier, the family members of Sonali Phogat met Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh late on Saturday evening and requested CBI to get the investigation done in Sonali Phogat murder case. The Chief Minister had assured the family that he would talk to the Goa CM regarding this. After this he spoke to Goa CM Pramod Sawant. It is worth noting that recently Sonali Phogat died in Goa under suspicious circumstances. After preliminary investigation, two people including his assistant have been arrested.
However, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the Goa government has no problem in handing over the investigation of the case to the CBI. After discussing this with the DGP and the police staff, if necessary, a CBI inquiry will be conducted. He said that a very in-depth investigation is being done in this matter. From drug peddlers to hotel owners, everyone is being arrested. Whoever was found involved in this case, they will be punished.
