Hope for early solution in talks with medical students: Khattar

Chandigarh. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said that senior officials are in talks with the medical students and doctors agitating against the bond policy and it is expected that a solution will be found by Sunday evening. Khattar was interacting with media representatives at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Saturday. On the question regarding the medical students, he said that many things related to the bond policy have been explained to the medical students on Friday and their doubts have been resolved.

Senior officers and higher administrative officials associated with medical education are interacting with these students. He clarified that the purpose of the bond policy is not to harass any doctor’s family or poor family. The one who wants to join a government job after completing his medical education has no problem with this.

There is no problem for the one who is not able to do the job. This bond policy will be applicable only on a person who will go for a private job instead of a government job. He said that out of the Rs 40 lakh bond, Rs 3.5 lakh, which he has given as a student in these four years, will be reduced from that amount. Interest is also not being charged from them.

The money that will be taken from the bank after the completion of the degree, will be transacted with the bank only. If a doctor doing a private job wants to return the money early, he can return it, there is no time limit for him. After completing their medical studies in government medical colleges, they should choose government service and to encourage this, the bond policy has been implemented.
