Both India and Pakistan are America’s partners

Washington, language. The Biden administration said on Monday that both India and Pakistan are partners of the US in different ways. The Biden administration said this during a visit to America by Foreign Minister S. This comes a day after Jaishankar’s statement in which he raised questions about the decision to provide the latest US F-16 security aid to Pakistan.

Jaishankar had questioned America’s argument that the package given to Pakistan related to the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets is to fight terrorism. Jaishankar had said that everyone knows where and against whom F-16 fighter jets are used. In response to a question during an interaction with Indian-Americans, he said, you are not fooling anyone by saying these things.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ned Price said in his daily press conference that we do not look at our relations with Pakistan and India from the same perspective. Both are our partners in different ways. He said that we see both as partners, because in many respects we have shared values. We have common interests in many matters and our relationship with India is different. Our relations with Pakistan have their place.

It is noteworthy that earlier this month US President Joe. Biden’s administration approved a $450 million aid to Pakistan for F-16 fighter jets, reversing a decision by the former President Donald Trump-led administration to halt military aid to Pakistan.

The Trump administration had reportedly imposed this ban to provide safe haven to the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani network. “We want to do everything we can to make sure that the relationship between these two neighbors is as constructive as possible,” Price said in response to a question. This is another important thing.

Relations between India and Pakistan have been strained due to the Kashmir issue and allegations of Pakistan promoting terrorism. On August 5, 2019, India had withdrawn the special status of Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 of the Constitution and bifurcating it into two union territories, after which the relations between the two countries further soured.
