Today Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University student union election held in HNBGU Sringar Campus. The polling for student union’s head started at 8 am on Thursday, today and the poll count began at around 4 pm. The university managed to declare election results at around 7:20 pm.

Four candidates fought for President post.

- Aman Pant (ABVP)

Two candidates fought for General Secretary post.
- Suraj Negi (Independent)
- Samrat Singh Rana (Aryan)
Two candidates fought for University Representative post.
- Aman Panwar
- Girish Rawat
Gaurav Mohan Negi won President post his opponent Kaivalya Jakhmola came second. Gaurav Mohan Negi became the new president of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University’s student union. Among other posts, Aman Panwar won for University Representative post and Samrat Singh Rana for General Secretary.
