Hindu minority in India…?

Bhopal. Yes…. It is a worrying fact that the number of Hindus in the India we live in is now reaching the status of ‘minority’, this fact has been accepted by the Central Government itself in the affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court. There are nine states in the country where the number of Hindus is much less than the people of other religions. Now since the states have the right to grant religious and linguistic minority status in our constitution, the Center cannot interfere in this matter. Hindu minority in India

The Center has said in its affidavit that a separate law cannot be made to give the right to decide the minority to the states, the ministry said that if only the states are given the right to decide then it will be against the constitution, the constitution Under Article 246 of the Act, Parliament has made the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992, if only the states are given the right to make laws for minorities, then the power of Parliament will be violated.

In fact, BJP leader and lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay has filed a petition in the Supreme Court, in which he has demanded that the identification of minorities should be done on the basis of the states and not the nation and Hindus should be given minority status in the states where there are more followers of other religions. be given. It has been argued in this petition that the nine states of the country are Ladakh (01), Mizoram (2.75), Lakshadweep (2.77), Kashmir (04), Nagaland (8.74), Meghalaya (11.52), Arunachal (29.24), Punjab (38.49). And in Manipur state, only 41.29 percent are Hindus, but they have not even got the status of ‘minority’ and have not got the facility of minority.

Nor are they able to open religious schools like madrasas, on this petition the Supreme Court had sought a response from the central government. The Center has said in its reply that the state governments can determine the minority communities on the basis of their population, in Karnataka Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Konkani, Marathi and Gujarati languages have been notified as minority languages in their limits. It also cites the example of Maharashtra where the state government has declared the Jewish community as a religious minority, the government told the court that like these states, every state can determine the minorities.

There was also a very detailed discussion on this issue in the Supreme Court that which ministry of the Center should give the answer sought by the court on this petition? The Supreme Court said that the Ministry of Home Affairs should answer, while Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the Ministry of Minorities is authorized to respond. That is why the Ministry of Minorities has presented its answer.

Although the Supreme Court has fixed May 9 as the next date of discussion and hearing on this matter, and only then it will probably be told whether the number of Hindus in these nine states of the country has decreased due to their migration or in the past the Health Ministry of the Central Government. Because of the “Hum Do Hamare Do” campaign run by, because it has been a matter of discussion at that time that only the Hindu community had expressed interest in this campaign run by the then Central Government, whether Muslim, Christian or other religions. And now apart from these nine states, how many other states where the Hindu community is standing on the verge of minority? And in the states where Hindus are a minority, are they given the facilities given to the minority community or not?

Whatever happens now, this matter is interesting as well as worrying, if Hindus will be a minority here, then what will happen to ‘Hindustan’? Will we have to find a new name for this country?
