Mumbai Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 16 kg heroin worth over Rs 80 crore from Mumbai airport. An official gave this information on Thursday. He said that on the basis of intelligence inputs, a passenger was stopped on Wednesday and his luggage was searched, after which the banned substance was found from his possession.
The DRI officer said that the heroin was hidden inside a trolley bag. He said that a case has been registered against the accused resident of Kerala under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The inspection of the matter is going on. (Language)
