According to a report in Box Office India, the collections of superstar Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ grew in good numbers on Sunday. The film earned Rs 23.30 crore in the first two days. On the third day i.e. on Sunday, the figure of this film was between Rs 16-17 crores at the box office. That is, according to this, till now the total collection of this film has become around 39-40 crores. Whereas Akshay’s film ‘Bachchan Pandey’, released this year itself, did a business of 37 crores on the first weekend.

Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Vikram’ earned Rs 42 crore for the Tamil version in the opening weekend. Talking about the collection of the third day, according to the initial figures, this film has earned 31 crores in all languages across the country.

Adivi Shesh’s film ‘Major’ has earned Rs 14.30 crore at the box office in two days. Whereas on the third day this film has earned around 7 crores across the country.
Meanwhile, Samrat Prithviraj has completely routed the other two regional releases – Vikram and Major – to the Hindi version. While Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram earned over Rs 2 crore in the first weekend, Adivasi Shesh’s Major earned Rs 5 crore. However, both the films have done very well in the local markets.
