Harshal Patel was ‘Man of the Match’ in debut T20, 5th bowler from India to do so

T20 Cricket: Harshal Patel, playing his first T20 International, took 2 wickets for just 25 runs in 4 overs against New Zealand. At one time, New Zealand’s team, which was seen scoring big, was reduced to Harshal’s bowling and India got a simple target to win. India won both the match and the series by easily achieving the target. Harshal Patel was the ‘Man of the Match’ for his strong performance in his debut T20 International match. Year 2009: Pragyan Ojha
Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha made his debut in T20 World Cup 2009. He was included in the playing XI in the group stage match against Bangladesh. In his debut match, Ogya sent 4 Bangladeshi batsmen to the pavilion by spending just 21 runs in 4 overs. India won this match by 25 runs.

Year 2015: Axar Patel
Akshar was included in the team for the tour of Zimbabwe in the year 2015. In the first match of the bilateral T20 series, when Akshar got a chance to debut, he gave only 17 runs in 4 overs and took 3 wickets.

Year 2016: Barinder Saran
Fast bowler Saran also made his debut against Zimbabwe. In his debut match, he sent 4 players to the pavilion by giving 10 runs in 4 overs. On the basis of his strong bowling, Zimbabwe’s team could only score 99 runs in 20 overs.

Year 2019: Navdeep Saini
This fast bowler from Haryana took 3 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs in his debut match against West Indies. He sent fast bowlers like Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard and Shimron Hetmyer to the pavilion cheaply. West Indies could only score 95 runs in this match.
