First of all, he got Hardik Pandya, playing his first match of the second phase of the IPL, caught by captain Kohli by putting a brilliant cutter ball. After this, he diddge Mumbai’s explosive batsman Kieron Pollard and walked out LBW. On the third ball, Patel completed his hat-trick by dismissing Rahul Chahar LBW. Harshal took 4 wickets for 17 runs in his spell of 3.1 overs. Also, he is at the top of the bowlers’ list with 23 wickets in this IPL.

Amit Mishra holds the record for most hat-tricks in IPL.

Earlier in the IPL, the last hat-trick was taken by Shreyas Gopal of Rajasthan Royals in the 2019 season. He did this feat only against RCB. Talking about the most hat-tricks in IPL, this record is recorded in the name of Amit Mishra, who has done this feat for the most number of times in IPL. Apart from this, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has also taken hat-trick twice in his IPL career.
