Lucknow : The controversy which started from Maharashtra in protest against the loud noise on loudspeaker has now reached Uttar Pradesh as well. After Maharashtra, now Hanuman Chalisa is being heard on loud speaker in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. MNS chief has warned to remove loudspeakers from mosques in Maharashtra by May 3.
In Maharashtra, MNS chief Raj Thackeray is raising his voice to remove the loudspeaker from the mosque in protest against the azaan on loudspeakers in mosques these days. After this demand of the MNS chief, people in Maharashtra started reading Hanuman Chalisa by putting loudspeakers at their homes. This dispute, which arose from Maharashtra, has now reached Uttar Pradesh. Where people have put loudspeakers above their homes and are reading Hanuman Chalisa.

After Maharashtra, Hanuman Chalisa and Ajan are heard simultaneously on loudspeakers in Varanasi, UP. The Hanuman Chalisa recitation being done by Shri Kashi Vishwanath Gyanvapi Liberation Movement is done at the exact time when it is time for Ajan.

Mukti Andolan Sanstha President Sudhir Singh has installed a loudspeaker on the roof of his house and he reads Hanuman Chalisa in loud voice on this loudspeaker in the morning and evening. Sudhir Singh told that his aim is not to spoil Hindu-Muslim unity. Earlier our mornings also used to be with Vedic chanting and Hanuman Chalisa but we were so suppressed that it all stopped. Sudhir Singh said that we also want Hindu-Muslim unity, but we have not taken this contract only. In the morning, the sound of Ajan disturbs our sleep.
Referring to the order of the Supreme Court
Speaking on the question of loudspeakers, Sudhir Singh said that while referring to the Supreme Court’s order on noise pollution, he said that loudspeakers in mosques kept increasing but the eyebrows of mosques were removed. But now we have also decided that why should not we also recite Vedic mantras and Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeaker.
