Gwalior: National Tansen Festival from tomorrow, there will be rain of Sur, Taal and Raga for five days

Gwalior. Music-dhani Gwalior’s atmosphere will be drenched in the rain of sur, taal and raag for five days. The country’s most prestigious festival in the field of Indian classical music and world music gathering ‘National Tansen Samaroh’ will be held in the city of music, Gwalior, starting from tomorrow till December 23.

At the Vishwa Sangeet Samagam Tansen ceremony, the top seekers of the Brahmanad of the country and the world will pay tribute to the music emperor Tansen by sitting on the grand and attractive stage built on the theme of Channakeshav Temple Belur in the Tansen Samadhi complex located at Hazira. The traditional Tansen celebrations will begin tomorrow at 10 am at Tansen Samadhi with Shehnai Vadan, Harikatha, Milad Vachan, Chadar Poshi and Kabbali singing.

The formal grand inauguration and ornamentation ceremony of the ceremony will be held at 7 pm. In the inaugural program of Tansen Samaroh, country’s famous flute player Pt. Nityanand Haldipur Mumbai will be honored with Tansen decoration for the year 2021. On this occasion, Mumbai’s Samved Society for Performing Art organization will be decorated with Raja Mansingh Tomar Samman for the year 2021.

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia have been invited as special guests at the ceremony. State’s Culture and Tourism Minister Usha Thakur will preside over the inauguration and decoration ceremony.

District in-charge Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Minister of State Independent Charge Bharat Singh Kushwaha, MP Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, MLA Lakhan Singh Yadav, Praveen Pathak, Satish Sikarwar and Suresh Raje, Mayor Dr. Shobha Satish Sikarwar and District Panchayat President Durgesh Kunwar Singh Jatav has been invited as a special guest.

Tansen Samaroh is organized every year by the Ustad Allauddin Khan Music and Arts Academy under the Culture Department of the State Government in collaboration with the District Administration and the Municipal Corporation. The ‘Tansen Samaroh’ organized in the memory of the great sage Tansen has its own colors. On the opening day of the ceremony, in the early morning, there is live darshan of social harmony at Tansen’s Samadhi.

This time too, on December 19 at 10 am, the ‘Tansen Samaroh’ will traditionally start with Shehnai playing, Dholibua Maharaj’s Harikatha, Milad and Kabbali singing. On this occasion, there will also be a traditional chadarposhi at the tomb of Mohammad Gaus and Sangeet Samrat Tansen. This time there will be a total of 10 music gatherings in the Tansen Samaroh, the World Sangeet Samagam.

The first meeting will be held on the evening of 19th December. After this there will be morning and evening meetings every day. As part of the celebrations, a parallel meeting will also be held in Bateshwar on December 22, which will be of classical music. On December 23, the morning gathering will be held at Behat, the birthplace of Tansen, and in the evening, that is, the last musical gathering of this year’s celebrations will be held in the premises of Gujri Mahal. The final gathering will focus on women artists.

The morning session will start every day at 10.00 am and the evening session will start at 6.00 pm. The gathering will traditionally begin with Dhrupad recital by Government Madhav Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Gwalior. Artist Pt. Nityanand Haldipur, Mumbai, who has been honored with the Tansen Award, will present flute playing in this meeting.

Dhrupad recital by renowned singer Janab Wasifuddin Dagar Delhi and renowned classical singer Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande Pune will be performed in this gathering. The gathering will begin with Dhrupad recital by Dhrupad Center Bhopal and Shankar Gandharva Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Gwalior. World music will be presented in the meeting by Tomas Carrasco Gubanentis, Moia Nicolás Edmonds Guevara and Alfredo Tosto from Chile.

After this, Deepika Bhide Bhagwat will present Mumbai singing, Dalchand Sharma Delhi’s Pakhawaj playing, Phadke Deshpande Pune’s singing and Braj Bhushan Goswami Delhi’s Dhrupad singing. The gathering will begin with Dhrupad recital by Indian Music College, Gwalior.

Singing of Pt. Venkatesh Kumar Dharwad, Mohanveena playing of Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Salil Bhatt Jaipur, Dhrupad singing of Dhani Gundecha Bhopal, presentation of Israel’s Avi Adir and Alex Ostapenko under world music and singing of Sushma Vajpayee Kanpur. Will happen. At the beginning of this gathering, there will be a Dhrupad presentation by Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Gwalior.

The gathering will feature a performance by Blessing Chimanga’s band from Zimbabwe under World Music. After this, Pandit Sukhdev Chaturvedi will present Dhrupad recital from Mumbai, Mr. Abhishek Borkar from Pune on sarod playing, Mr. Anand Bhate from Pune on rendition and Mr. Praveen Shevlikar Bhopal on violin. The meeting will start with Dhrupad singing from Dhrupad Kendra Gwalior.

After this there will be singing of Vidushi Parveen Sultana Mumbai, flute playing of Santosh Sant Indore, Tabla playing of Pandit Dinesh Shukla Indore, Dhrupad singing of Rajesh Sendh Mumbai and Sitar playing of Shriram Umdekar Gwalior. The gathering will traditionally begin with Dhrupad recital from Sarada Nad Mandir Gwalior. The gathering will feature a performance by William Reece Hoffman from USA under World Music.

After this there will be singing of Vinod Mishra Satna, Dhrupad singing of Brijbhushan Goswami Delhi, singing of Umesh Kampuwale Gwalior and sarangi playing of Harsh Narayan Mumbai. Tabla playing by Vivek Navale, Indore, singing by Ms. Sadhna Gore, Gwalior and sarod playing by Prabhat Kumar, Delhi. The gathering will begin with the singing of Dhrupad by Raja Mansingh Tomar Sangeet and Kala Vishwavidyalaya.

The gathering will feature a performance by the Desmadre Orchestra of Argentina under World Music. This will be followed by singing by Anuja Jhokarkar from Pune, flute playing by Shashank Subramaniam Chennai, singing by Pt. Jayateertha Mevundi from Dharwad and tabla playing by Pt. Sanju Sahay from London (Varanasi). At the beginning of the meeting there will be Dhrupad singing of Dhrupad Kendra Behat.

After this there will be singing performance by Harvinder Singh Chandigarh, Tabla Jugalbandi by Mr. Vinay Binde and Mr. Pranay Paradkar Gwalior and Dhrupad singing performance by Mr. Aditya Sharma Gwalior. The gathering will begin with Dhrupad recital by Sadhna Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Gwalior. After this there will be singing of Shilpa Masurkar Indore, violin playing of Anupriya Deotale Indore and singing of Rita Dev Delhi.

Pandit Balabhau Umdekar’s ‘Kundal Guru’ Raag Sumanmala Part I and II will also be inaugurated on the inauguration of Tansen Samaroh. As part of the ceremony, a two-day interactive program will be held at Raja Man Singh Tomar Music and Arts University on 20 and 21 December.

Under Vaadi Samvadi, on December 20 at 3 pm, Pt. Kiran Deshpande Bhopal will give an example lecture on literature and music creation. Similarly, on December 21 at 3 pm, Sushri Shashwati Mandal will give Riyaz and stage performance-example lecture by Delhi. From December 20 to 23, at the venue of the Tansen ceremony, a ragamala exhibition focusing on Geet Govind will be held at the time of concerts.

On the other hand, fine arts exhibition ‘Rang Sambhavna’ will be organized in the art gallery located at Padav on the same dates. This exhibition will become a medium for art lovers to interview their art.
