One of them is Gurleen Singh. Born in a small town of Punjab in a middle class family, Gurleen has today achieved his international status in boxing. Born on 26 August 1994 to Pargat Singh and Charanjit Kaur, today he is making his village and family proud in boxing. Gurleen’s education was not very much, he continued his studies till 12th standard. Right now his entire focus is on the game. At such a young age, Gurleen got the gold medal in the 24th Junior National Boxing Championship 2008-09. He has made Punjab proud by winning Gold in 25th Junior (Sub Junior) National Boxing Championship 2009, Gold in 44th Youth Men National Boxing Championship, Silver medal in 45th Junior Men National Boxing Championship.

His exceptional game was observed when he played the 24th Junior (Sub Juniors) National Boxing Championship 2008-09. In his debut year of 2009 he excelled as the Best in 25th Juniors (Sub Junior) National Boxing Championship and stood 1st all over India. He also secured gold medal in 44th Youth Men National Boxing Championship, which was held in Andhra Pradesh. In the 45th tournament of Junior Men National Boxing Championship held in his home district Punjab secured Silver medal, Still his talent is flourishing in various tournaments and spreading his tale treatment. Still he is assuring us to reach high and high in boxing at very short age.
