GST web: Rs 750 discount on sending parcels sent through transport also kept going!

Traders will have to pay GST as per RCM on the bill

The Central Department of Indirect Taxes and Customs has recently amended the laws related to transport. According to the GST law, till now if any goods or parcels are sent in transport and the charge is Rs 750, then GST exemption was given on the bill. But, now it will not be allowed. Traders will have to pay GST as per RCM on the bill.

According to the information received from the sources of the GST Department, under the new law of F, another law will have to be passed for the textile traders. Till now, textile traders did not have to pay GST charges on sending parcels and the charges were less than Rs 750. However, in certain circumstances, this exemption was given on a bill of Rs 1500. But, according to the new law, this exemption has been removed and from now on all parcels sent to traders will have to pay GST.

In this regard, traders say that with this government law, traders will have to follow another law and their credit will be blocked further. Because already their GST credit is becoming unusable, whereas paying GST again will result in more capital jam.
