GST network: Businessmen are troubled by this mess of HSN code

GST remains a headache for traders

GST remains a headache for traders

Even though all the GST work is being done online, still special instructions are being given to do some things offline. As a result of this, the process of updating the HSN code on the portal is not being done properly, traders are being told that if the HSN code is not updated automatically, then the merchant will have to pay GSTR 1 manually. That is, the trader will have to take care of this while filling GSTR 1. In such a situation, if the trader makes a small mistake in writing the HSN code in GSTA21, then the credit will not be given to the merchant against it and a show cause notice will also be issued to the trader who writes the wrong HSN code. In such a situation, the condition of the traders has become like ‘eat, drank nothing, broke the glass 12 anana’. Due to non-functioning of GST portal, the trader is facing double trouble. However, the GST Council has already announced that traders will have to do it. In the return filed in July, the trader has to enter a six-digit number instead of four. Even after two months of its announcement, the traders who still do not update it on the portal, they face the biggest problem.
