GST 1.47 lakh crore in September

New Delhi, Although there has been a big decline in the production of eight core sectors, but along with rising inflation, the recovery of Goods and Services Tax (GST) has also reached a record level. There has been an increase in the GST collection in the month of September. GST collection of Rs 1.47 lakh crore has been done in September, which is higher than Rs 1.44 lakh crore in August. This is the seventh consecutive month that the GST collection has exceeded one lakh 40 thousand crore rupees. It has seen an increase of 26 percent on a year-on-year basis. A year ago in September 2021, GST collection was Rs 1.17 lakh crore.

The biggest ever GST collection was in April 2022, when Rs 1.67 lakh crore was deposited. However, in the revenue collection of Rs 1.47 lakh crore for the month of September, Central i.e. CGST Rs 25,271 crore, State i.e. SGST Rs 31,813 crore, Integrated i.e. IGST Rs 80,464 crore and Cess Rs 10,137 crore. This is the seventh consecutive month that the GST collection has crossed Rs 1.40 lakh crore.
