Government official reached High Court against Vigilance investigation, sought response from the government

Nainital. Indian Forest Service officers and the suspended then Deputy Conservator of Forests of the Kalagarh Forest Division of Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) have reached the High Court against the investigation of Kishan Chandra Vigilance Establishment. He has demanded the court to quash the charge filed against him. The court has asked the government to file its reply in the matter by September 16.

A petition was filed on behalf of IFS officer Kishan Chandra, saying that the allegations against him are baseless. He has not committed any irregularities. The construction work has been done only after the departmental permission. On behalf of the petitioner, a demand was made from the court to quash the case registered against him. It was also said on behalf of the petitioner that a case has been registered against him on behalf of the government under serious sections.

On the other hand, it was said on behalf of the government that there are serious allegations against the petitioner. Irregularities have been confirmed in the investigation conducted on the orders of the National Tiger Authority (NCTA) and the High Court. It was also said from the government that the investigation is still in the preliminary stage. After this, the court has asked the government to file its reply in the matter by September 16. The next hearing in the matter will be held on September 16.
