Record new demat accounts opened

Record number of new demat trading accounts have been opened. The number of demat trading accounts in 2019-20 was only 4.09 crores, which has increased to 5.51 crores in 2020-21 and to 7.38 crores by 31 October 2021.

Market neutralized by selling of foreign investors

Due to global economic concerns, foreign investors are selling while domestic institutional are buying continuously, due to which there has been no major fall in the market despite the exit of investments. Investment in the market through mutual funds has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore.

Record IPO in 2021

This year has also been memorable for companies that brought IPO. Companies have raised Rs 1.18 lakh crore from the market through more than 60 IPOs. If you combine the last three years, then this year more companies came with IPO and also raised more money from the market. The question is, how long will this bullishness last in the market. But many experts are also predicting the Sensex to touch 70,000 by the end of 2022.
