Hero Lectro, the electric cycle brand of Hero Cycles Ltd, said on Monday that electric bicycles have also been included in the category of subsidy and tax exemption under the Electric Vehicle (EV) policy of the Delhi government, thereby getting this deduction. Hero’s 5 e-bikes have come in this reduction category.

Hero Lectro C6, C8i, F6i and C5 editions will become cheaper in Delhi after the new EV (Electric Vehicle) policy is implemented. Their prices will be cut by Rs 7,500. At the same time, the price of its cargo variant Cargo Win will come down by up to Rs 15,000. The price of this edition will be Rs 34,999.

Currently, Hero Lectro has a cycle range of 28.5 km. Between 45 km to 45 km. Its price is between 30999 to 54999. After getting the subsidy, their price will be cut by Rs 7500. After which its price will come down from Rs 23999 to Rs 47999.

These four brands got approval

The four brands approved by the Delhi government are Hero Lectro E-Cycle, Nexzoo Mobility Limited, Strider Cycle Private Limited and Motorvolt Mobility Private Limited which have got approval for E-cycle. The government has also been given a list of its dealer outlets and the stock held by them. Whenever there is a sale, the dealer outlets who have a login will upload the customer details and the subsidy will be credited to the customer’s account. And the subsidy of the accounts which are linked with Aadhaar will be deposited within four to five days.

single window system started

The Delhi government has launched a single-window process to install EV chargers in private and semi-public places, under which at least 30,000 charging stations will be set up across Delhi and there will be a big change in the use of EV cars and light electric vehicles.
