Gold Rate today: Gold price hits two-week low, silver also falls

Gold Rate today: On Friday, the price of gold declined by Rs 70 to Rs 50,557 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market. This is gold’s two-week low. In fact, on June 10, gold was down by Rs 58 at Rs 50,793 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market on Friday. Today’s price is even lower than that. Due to this, gold had closed at Rs 50,627 per 10 grams in the previous trading session.

Silver price below 60 thousand

Similarly, silver also declined by Rs 621 to Rs 59,077 per kg. In the last trading session, the price of silver had closed at Rs 59,698 per kg. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “After last night’s fall at New York-based commodity exchange, Comex, spot gold of 24 carat in Delhi bullion market has declined by Rs 70. It was trading higher at USD 1,828 an ounce, while silver was almost steady at USD 20.97 an ounce. The spot price of gold was up 0.33 per cent in Comex.

Fall in futures market

Gold prices on Friday declined by Rs 46 to Rs 50,548 per 10 grams in the futures market as speculators offloaded their positions. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in August fell by Rs 46, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 50,548 per 10 grams. It had a business turnover of 12,159 lots. Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants mainly led to the fall in gold futures prices.
