Gold Rate: On Tuesday, gold fell by Rs 205 in the Delhi bullion market to close at Rs 50,733 per 10 grams. Due to this, gold had closed at Rs 50,938 per 10 grams in the previous trading session. Silver also fell by Rs 964 to Rs 61,555 per kg. Silver had closed at Rs 62,519 per kg in the previous trading session. HDFC Securities gave this information.

HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, 24 carat spot gold also fell by Rs 205 in Delhi following the fall in gold prices on the New York-based commodity exchange Comex. In the international market, gold rose to USD 1,844 an ounce, while silver fell marginally to USD 22.01 an ounce. Patel said, a firming dollar and rising US bond yields restricted the upside in gold.

Fall in futures market

Gold prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 56 to Rs 50,814 per 10 grams in futures market as speculators offloaded their positions amid weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in August fell by Rs 56, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 50,814 per 10 grams. Silver prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 549 to Rs 61,750 per kg in futures market as participants reduced their positions on weak spot demand.
