General Asim Munir will be the new Chief of Pakistan Army

New Delhi | Asim Munir: India’s neighboring country Pakistan has got a new army chief. The name of General Asim Munir has been stamped on the winds that have been going on for many days regarding the name of the Army Chief. Asim Munir will be the new army chief of Pakistan. Apart from this, it has been decided to appoint Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza as the chairman of he Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.

Pakistan’s Wazir-e-Ala Shahbaz Sharif announced his name on Thursday. Let us tell you that many big names were involved in the race for the new Army Chief of Pakistan, but among them only General Munir has been given the command of this Army Chief. In such a situation, Munir will replace General Bajwa.

India had carried out the Balakot air strike during Munir’s time.
Asim Munir: Asim Munir came into limelight when in the year 2019, the then PM of Pakistan Imran Khan showed him the way out from the post of DG of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI within just 8 months. It was then revealed that he was removed due to poor relations with Imran Khan. General Munir is considered an infamous name of the intelligence agency ISI. Asim Munir is currently posted as the Quarter Master General of the Pakistan Army. He will now replace the present Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa, who is retiring on 29th of this month. In the year 2019, India carried out the Balakot air strike in Pakistan when Munir remained on the post of ISI Chief.
