Gautam Adani becomes second richest person in the world

New Delhi, Adani Group chief Gautam Adani has now become the second richest person in the world. Just 17 days ago, he became the third richest person in the world. But in 17 days, he achieved the second position. Gautam Adani has become the second richest person in the world with a net worth of $ 154.7 billion or about Rs 12.34 lakh crore.

According to the Forbes Real Time Billionaires List, Gautam Adani has achieved this position by beating Bernard Arnault of France. He had achieved the third position by overtaking Arnault. But later the stock market boomed, Arnault’s wealth increased and he left behind Jeff Bezos to reach the second place. However, for the first time, an Asian has been among the top two traders on the Forbes Billionaires Index.

Gautam Adani is now only behind Elon Musk in the rankings. Tesla founder Elon Musk is at number one with a net worth of $273.5 billion or 21.80 lakh crore. Bernard Arnault is third with a net worth of 12.27 lakh crores and Jeff Bezos is at number four in the list with a net worth of 11.95 lakh crores. Apart from Adani, Asia’s richest person, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani is the second Indian to feature in the top-10 list of Forbes.

Mukesh Ambani is the eighth richest man in the world with a net worth of Rs 7.35 lakh crore. Nonetheless, Adani has added $78.2 billion to his net worth in 2022 alone. That is, he has added half of his wealth in nine months of this year. This is four times more than any other businessman. He first surpassed Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani as the richest Asian in February. A year ago, in April 2021, Adani’s net worth was $ 57 billion. Adani’s wealth grew the fastest in the world in the financial year 2021-2022.
