‘Gandhi Peace Pilgrimage’ Award to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Washington. Indian spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for spreading the messages of peace and nonviolence of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The ‘Gandhi Peace Pilgrimage’ award has been presented in Atlanta for his tireless efforts.

The award was presented to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar by the Gandhi Foundation of America in the presence of Isaac Farris, nephew of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Dr. Swati Kulkarni, Consul General of India in Atlanta. The citation said that this is to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of The Art of Living, for the change we want to see in the world, for his wisdom, insight and service to humanity inspired by Gandhi-King’s teachings of peace and non-violence. The prize has been awarded.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said in his message, some messages are timeless messages. The messages of Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi are very relevant in this category. They are brand new in every generation for every age. Sometimes it becomes more relevant. In today’s world, where we are facing such polarization and tension, the message of peace should be loud and clear. (Language)
