FY 2020-21 More than 4.43 crore returns filed so far, you should also fill ITR before 31st

Income Tax Return: The last date to file Income Tax (ITR) is near. If you have not filed your return yet, do it soon. The Income Tax Department said on Sunday that more than 4.43 crore income tax returns have been filed for the financial year 2020-21 till December 25. It also includes over 11.68 lakh income tax returns filed on December 25.

The department tweeted
In a tweet, the Income Tax Department said that of the total returns filed, there are more than 2.41 crore ITR-1 and about 1.09 crore ITR-4. These returns have been filed for the financial year 2020-21 (Assessment Year 2021-22).

The tweet said, “A total of 4,43,17,697 ITRs have been filed till December 25, 2021, of which 11,68,027 ITRs were filed on the same day.” reminded of.

File the return by 31st December
Let us tell you that the extended deadline for filing individual ITR is ending on December 31. You can first file your ITR by logging on to https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal.

Which documents will be required?
To file ITR, you will need necessary documents like PAN, Aadhaar, bank account number, investment details and proof/certificate, Form 16, Form 26AS.
