Ashwini Dodani, a creative strategist, digital marketer and a poet at heart has been writing poetry for a decade now. His first published poetry book – Savoir Faire: Do the WRITE thing consists of 40 poems that talk about love, relationships, nature, philosophy and experiences.
Working in the digital industry for more than 7 years now, Ashwini has worked for brands like Channel V, Garnier Men, Cornetto, Magnum, Axis Mutual Funds, Lee Cooper Denim, Mondelez International, Future Generali Life Insurance, Smile Foundation, Mahindra CERO to name a few. Recently, with his foray into entertainment and marketing, he has strategized and developed creative plans for Film Critics Guild, led the social media marketing for films like Saand Ki Aankh, Bypass Road, Arjun Patiala and is now working as Digital Lead on Amazon Prime Video’s shows including Paatal Lok and Breathe Into The Shadows.
Beyond his usual routine of working for brands and entertainment, Ashwini spends time writing the most touching quotes and poems across his social platforms including Instagram, Twitter and Medium. He is a writer in 40+ publications on Medium and runs his own poetry publication titled – From The Poet’s Heart which is a house to 120+ writers and 1000+ subscribers. With his love for poetry and poets, he has always been into educating the community with how to go about writing, poetry forms, creative expression and has been a mentor for people who want to begin blogging and social media. He has been a key asset to a poetry community on Facebook – Poets On Medium that is run by Christina Ward and Ashwini where all the poets of Medium share their poems, creative ideas, prompts and support for their writing. He also recently performed at an open mic by Kasakai Mumbai reciting one of his old poems titled – Pehchaan.
With the current global situation, Ashwini took his poetry to videos and shared a few poems titled “Dil Ki Baat”, “Chhuti Ka Din” and “Ehsaas Zaroori Hai” on his IGTV that has been loved and shared by quite a few well-known celebrities including Abhishek Banerjee, Ashmit Patel, Raj Shekhar, Jaideep Ahlawat and more.
Being quite active on Twitter, Ashwini has been integrally sharing a lot of campaigns that require funds and has always been vocal about subjects that need immediate help and attention. Recently, he shared a tweet where Ayushmann Khuranna had posted a picture with his book back in 2017 as a memory that he will always cherish.
A poet at heart, Ashwini Dodani also is a strong believer of mental health, kindness, compassion and community support. A lot of his writings suggest struggles of life, humanity, power of one and happiness in small joys of life. He has always been trying to break the myth that art can only be inspired by pain and harsh experiences and believes that art, artists, poems, poetry and all kinds of creativity is much more than just pain and that should be engraved in our minds so that we can create more, love more, preserve more and make this world a better place.
