Mumbai Five people, including two women, were killed after a car collided with a state transport bus in Latur district of Maharashtra.
The accident took place on the Udgir-Nalegaon road in Haibatpur village at around 8.30 am, a police official said. Six people, including two women, were in the car. He was returning to Nanded after visiting a temple in Tuljapur when his car collided with a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus on the way. He told that the collision was so severe that his car overturned. The injured were taken to a hospital in Latur, where doctors declared five people brought dead.
The official said that in the preliminary investigation, it appears that the driver had lost control of the vehicle. We are investigating and a case has been registered, he said.
