Filmmaker KD Shorey, father of Ranvir Shorey passed away at the age of 92

Ranveer wrote in the caption, “My dear father, Krishna Dev Shourie, passed away last night at the age of 92, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He has left behind wonderful memories and many admirers. I have lost my greatest source of inspiration and security.”

Krishna Deva Shourie, or KD Shourie, as he was commonly known, was a producer of films in the 1970s and 1980s including ‘Zinda Dil’, ‘Be-Reham’ and ‘Bad Aur Badnaam’. In addition, he was the director of the 1988 film ‘Maha-Yudh’, which starred Paresh Rawal, Mukesh Khanna, Kader Khan and Gulshan Grover. In two of his films, he also played an uncredited role as a judge.
