Dhami became Chief Minister for the second time

Dehradun, Pushkar Singh Dhami took oath as the Chief Minister for the second time along with eight ministers. Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to Dhami on Wednesday. Two days ago on Monday, he was elected the leader of the legislature party. It is worth mentioning that Pushkar Singh Dhami had contested the election for the party as the Chief Minister of the state and the party won but he himself lost the election from Khatima seat. Now after taking oath, within six months, he will have to become an MLA by winning the election from any seat.

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reached his swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday. Eight ministers also took oath in the program held at Dehradun Parade Ground. Pushkar Dhami has become the 12th Chief Minister of the state and has become the first leader to become the Chief Minister for the second consecutive time in the history of the state. Apart from the Prime Minister, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath also attended Dhami’s swearing-in. Several more Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and top BJP leaders attended his oath ceremony.

Satpal Maharaj, Dhan Singh Rawat, Ganesh Joshi, Rekha Arya, Subodh Uniyal, Saurabh Bahuguna, Premchand Agarwal and Chandan Ram Das are among those who took oath as ministers in Pushkar Singh Dhami’s second cabinet. However, Dhami is considered close to Bhagat Singh Koshyari, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Governor of Maharashtra. Apart from this, Dhami is also considered close to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Rajnath Singh was present at the Central Observer K Kaur on Monday when he was elected leader.
