Female head of Chiranjeevi family will get smartphone

Jaipur. Rajasthan Education Minister Dr BD Kalla said that the work of distributing smartphones to the women heads of 1.35 crore Chiranjeevi families will start from October.

During the Question Hour in the Vidhan Sabha, Shri Kala was replying on behalf of the Information and Technology Minister to the supplementary question asked by the members in this regard. He said that for the purpose of giving smart phones to the women heads of Chiranjeevi families, supplementary demands of Rs 2,300 crore have been approved in the Vidhan Sabha. He said that 12 thousand crore rupees would be spent under this scheme in three years. He said that Jan Soochna, E-Mitra, E-Dharti and Raj Sampark apps have been developed to be installed in these smart phones and other apps are also being developed. He said that the state government would bear all the expenditure of these smart phones for three years.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced Mukhyamantri Digital Seva Yojana in this year’s budget. (Language)
